January means Snow, February means Love

Well, January went by fast which I am okay with. We have replaced the snowflakes, and started decorating for Valentine’s Day. We will be learning about Love this month, and what the Bible has to say about Love. Will also celebrate Presidents Day and learn about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Snowflakes, Hot Chocolate, and Mittens

Well it is 20 degrees not as cold as it could be but still cold. I have decided that we cannot have hot chocolate every time it is cold out. So my girls and I have decided to have hot chocolate only when it snows. Well it seems to snow almost every day including tonight, we are going to be drinking lots of hot chocolate anyways this winter. Today we did a few activities simple but fun along with a book called The Mitten that we read a lot. My girls love animals and snow so it is a fantastic book us.

2011 Monthly School Themes

Each month in our family/school we have a theme.
We will study something new that goes with the season of the month, or the season of life we are in.

I will be posting activites and ideas on here, so it is easier to look back and see what we have done through out the year.

If you feel encouraged to do the same you can copy any of the activites and ideas we are doing. Please just mention were you found the idea so others can be inspired as well.
